A Game of Thrones card game, based on the novels of the same name penned by George R.R. Martin, pits six houses against each other striving to
claim the Iron Throne. Each player controls one of the six great houses to battle each other on the battlefield, in back alley with spies and the
political arena. Now choose your liege and enter the fray!
At CHG, we play AGOT as much as possible.

Building a Collection or So, You Sold Your Soul to Another CCG
Start out with a Demo deck, available at CHG. Then buy a starter deck and two booster packs of your choice.
For a grand total of $31 you should have a good base of cards to decide which house you like.
When you begin collecting it usually helps to focus on a couple of houses instead of trying to catch-em-all.
If you get into the game at the same time as a friend your options virtually double. Buy the exact same amount of cards. Open them all.
Exchange “house” cards so that one person has all of the cards for three houses.

 Baratheon
It is the youngest of the great Houses, tracing its descent from Orys Baratheon, one of Aegon the Conqueror's fiercest generals,
and rumored to be his bastard brother. Through the female line, the Baratheons are descended from the Storm Kings. After Robert's Rebellion, the house claimed the
Iron Throne in King's Landing and the Isle of Dragonstone.
|
|
 Greyjoy
The House descends from the legendary Grey King in the Age of Heroes. The Greyjoys became Lords Paramount of the Iron Isles
after the Targaryen conquest, when Aegon I allowed the ironborn to choose who would have primacy over them. They chose Vickon Greyjoy and his line.

 Lannister
The Lannisters descend from Andal invaders who married the daughters of the King of the Rock.
The King himself descended from Lann the Clever, a legendary trickster from the Age of Heroes who tricked the Casterlys into giving him Casterly Rock.
The Lannisters are the richest family in the Seven Kingdoms.

 Martell
After two centuries of fighting off Targaryen occupation, House Martell submitted Dorne to Targaryen rule through marriage. King Daeron II, called Daeron the Good, married Princess Myriah Martell, sister of the ruling
Prince of Dorne, Maron Martell. In turn Prince Maron married a yet unnamed Targaryen princess, a sister of Daeron. Since then, the Martells have ruled
Dorne in the name of the King on the Iron Throne, while keeping the title Prince of Dorne.

 Stark
The Starks are descended from Brandon the Builder, a legendary figure from the Age of Heroes thousands of years in the past, who built Winterfell
and the Wall. They were Kings of Winter in the North from the Age of Heroes beginning with Bran the Builder until Torrhen Stark submitted to Aegon
the Conqueror at the end of the War of Conquest. Since that time the Starks have held the North for the kings of Westeros as Lords of Winterfell and
Wardens of the North.

 Targaryen
The Targaryens were not native to Westeros, instead originally hailing from the freehold of Valyria on the eastern continent.
The Targaryens abandoned the Valyrian gods and converted to the Andal faith of the Seven Gods,
then the predominant religion in Westeros. The Targaryens are prone to madness; with the birth of a new Targaryen, the gods
toss a coin to decide whether the child would be great or mad.
